They also told me that Florida has beaches for every type of travelers such as for sporty individuals, dog lovers (who never leave their pup alone at home), couples and more.

Best Family Beaches in Florida

Panama City Beach

Several family-friendly happenings!

We decided to visit Panama City Beach in northwest Florida. It’s 27 miles of exotic white-sand beach fronting the quiet and clear waters of the Gulf of Mexico. There is something for everyone including top-rated restaurants for families, eco-adventure activities, exciting water sports, and lovely attractions. What I liked the most about Panama City Beach is that there is a Pier Park, which has a million square feet of entertainment and shopping spots. Also, the event calendar of the city is always filled with family-friendly events. Enjoyed a lot!

Clearwater Beach

Impressive cleanliness and Pier 60!

I loved the Clearwater beach for its stunning white sand and shallow, clear water. Though you can find this sugar-white sand at various other areas in the Gulf. Then what makes the Clearwater Beach unique from others; it’s the cleanliness! I was really amazed to see how well the city is maintained. There is always a festival-like environment at Pier 60 where you’ll find street performers, local artists, and musicians entertaining the crowd. Bungee jumping and large inflatable water slides were great fun.

Moreover, it’s pedestrian-friendly. Whether you’re heading to this beach via a car, water taxi, or trolley from any direction (north or south), you’ll not face any difficulty reaching there.

Hollywood Beach

Best beach boardwalks in the US!

This is another recommended beach. Located between Ft. Lauderdale and Miami, Hollywood is popular for the striking beaches. The Hollywood Beach Boardwalk stretches approximately 2.5 miles along the Atlantic Ocean. The Travel + Leisure magazine says that Hollywood beach boardwalk is one of the best beach boardwalks in America. This terracotta-colored thoroughfare invites pedestrians, bicyclists, and joggers.

Furthermore, the promenade has a children’s water playground, Hollywood beach theatre, and other gorgeous attractions.

Best Dog-friendly Beaches in Florida

Brohard Beach and Paw Park

Keeps the dog and their master entertained!

If you’re a dog lover and never leaves your furry friend home alone, then you should head to Brohard Beach and Paw Park, where you and your pup can enjoy to the fullest. It is the only beach spot in Sarasota where dogs can play freely. It opens at 7 a.m. daily and closes in the evening. It’s a great picnic spot too as it has picnic tables, benches, and drinking fountains. Also, you have a great opportunity to see wildlife and birds.

Pensacola Beach

Your dog deserves a vacation too!

Considered as the Florida beaches’ crown jewel on the Gulf coast, the Pensacola beach is a picture-perfect vacation spot for you and your four-legged friend. With a number of pet-friendly accommodations and dog parks, beaches, paths to walk, and explore, the Pensacola Bay Area offers ample opportunities to dog lovers to give their pets a chance to leave their own paw marks on the sandy area. Return home with lots of memories and pictures! The beautiful sand and clear water with dolphins attract thousands of visitors every year.

Fort DeSoto Park and Dog Beach

Let your furry friend enjoy the beach waters!

Allow your dog cool off in the beach water and run freely on the sand at Forte De Soto Park that has a designated beach for dogs in the south of St. Petersburg. There is also a fenced dog park with showers so, your furry buddy won’t bring sand in your car.

What is the best time to visit Florida beaches?

If you’re planning a beach vacation in Florida in warm weather then May to September is the best time to book your tickets. Remember that heat and humidity can ruin your vacation from June to August—these are also the heavy rain months. Undoubtedly, May is the best month for beachgoers in Florida as the weather is warm with low rainfall.

What is the right water temperature to swim in any Florida beach?

The right temperature of water for swimming is different for every individual; for instance: the temperature that is comfortable for me might not be suitable for you and vice-versa. Generally, some people begin swimming when the water temperature reaches 70-degrees Fahrenheit. Most people start going into the water at 75-degrees, and anyone can swim easily at 80-degrees Fahrenheit.
